Breaking Through E-Book

The subtitle of Breaking Through by Wellington Boone is "Taking the Kingdom to the Culture by Outserving Others."

The title "Breaking Through" comes from David’s experience at Baal Perazim when he miraculously defeated the Philistines. The author writes:

“One of the places where David experienced the victory of God was named Baal-Perazim, which means, 'The Lord of the breaking through.' Daily we are given the challenge of being broken and tested, to be quickened with new mercy and fresh, unexpected surprises. Through our faithful commitment, restriction of self, and devotion, a faithful God reveals Himself specifically to our individual need. We point to a place called Baal-Perazim, where our faithful Father broke through!” Breaking Through, p. 151

 “So David went to Baal-perazim and defeated the Philistines there. ‘The LORD did it!’ David exclaimed. ‘He burst through my enemies like a raging flood!’ So he named that place Baal-perazim (which means ‘the Lord who bursts through’).” (2 Samuel 5:20 NLT).

God can use anyone and He breaks through on our behalf.

The book introduces Wellington Boone's unique message of "Worm Training," which is learning how to be humble as a Christian. We never strike back, like a snake, but are easily crushed, like a worm.
