During Reconstruction (1865-1877) the one consistent theme in Black politicians was exemplary leadership and statesmen-like qualities based on the Bible. Historians unfortunately have often distorted those facts. Most Americans are ignorant of the full story about why Blacks are in their current condition today.
How did slavery begin in a Christian country? Why did Blacks have to suffer even after they were freed by the Civil War and Amendments to the Constitution? How did they keep their Christian faith alive? A Biblical perspective on Black history will help tell the story.
